Paul J. Rosch, Zoë Harcombe ja 19 muuta kirjoittajaa: Fat and Cholesterol Don’t Cause Heart Attacks Alaotsikko: And Statins are Not the Solution ![]() Tomppa tilasi kirjan jo Lainaa: Fat and Cholesterol Don’t Cause Heart Attacks And Statins are Not the Solution Malcolm Kendrickin uusin bloggaus koskee THINCS-ryhmän julkaisemaa yllä näkyvän nimistä kirjaa. Kirja on omistettu THINCS-ryhmän perustajalle Uffe Ravnskov'lle, joka on sitkeästi ja rohkeasti seissyt väitteidensä takana ja kirjoittanut kole-myytistä useita kirjoja. Kuulemma hänen aiempi kirjansa The Cholesterol Myths on poltettu televisio-ohjelmassa, Suomessa 1992! Muistaako kukaan tällaista? Kirjan voi tilata tri Kendrickin sivuilta https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/ suoraan tekijöiltä, tai vaihtoehtoisesti Amazonin kautta. Postikuluineen hinnaksi tuli n. 24 €. Mielenkiinnosta ja kannatuksesta jo tilasin. Malcolm Kendrick esittelee kirjan blogissaan: Buy this new book Lainaa: There is a group of doctors, scientists and researchers called the International Network of Cholesterol Skeptics (THINCS) http://www.thincs.org. I am a member, and recently a number of us have contributed chapters to a new book called Fat and Cholesterol Don’t Cause Heart Attacks And Statins are Not the Solution. This was written in honour of the founder of THINCS, Uffe Ravnskov, a Swedish doctor and researcher who has been arguing against the current die-heart/cholesterol hypothesis for many years. He has written several books, many, many, research papers, and had the dubious honour of having one of his book burned, live, on television. [Finland 1992, the book was The Cholesterol Myths]. He has also been ruthlessly attacked, both professionally and personally. Yet he has never given up. Ravnskov, like all of us in THINCS, started looking at heart disease, or cardiovascular disease (CVD) and recognised that the widely accepted views were simply wrong. Something recognised by many people over the years, including Professor George Mann (who helped to start up and run the Framingham study). ‘Saturated fat and cholesterol in the diet are not the cause of coronary heart disease. That myth is the greatest scientific deception of this century, perhaps of any century.’ Kustantajan esittely: Lainaa: This book is dedicated to Uffe Ravnskov, MD, Ph.D. for his seminal and propaedeutic achievements in disputing the dogma that fat and cholesterol cause coronary heart disease, and that statins are safe and cardioprotective for everyone. As will be seen, no studies support the notion that restricting fat reduces coronary morbidity or mortality. More importantly, government recommendations mandating low fat diets are likely the cause of the escalating epidemic of obesity and type 2 diabetes. Several chapters detail the panoply of significant adverse health effects of statins that have been ignored or suppressed in reports of drug company sponsored trials. These include promoting the development of coronary atherosclerosis and congestive failure. In addition, the putative benefits of statins are clearly unrelated to lowering LDL or cholesterol, but rather anti-inflammatory and especially anticoagulant activities. This clotting or "atherothrombotic" hypothesis appears to explain all of the factors known to cause or protect against coronary heart disease. Other chapters by THINCS members discuss the role of infections and sulfur deficiency, and the numerous ways data are doctored to hype the benefits and minimize the dangers of statins. All of these contributions expose the fallacies of the lipid hypothesis, which was called "the greatest scientific deception of this century, perhaps of any century" by the distinguished nutritionist George Mann, former Co-Director of the Framingham Study.

Sen tuikkasivat tuleen toimittajat professorien haukuttua sen ensin pataluhaksi. Muistelen, että vuosi olisi ollut 1993. Tapahtumasta esitettiin lyhyt välähdys kuvituskuvana legendaarisessa MOT:Rasvainen kupla -ohjelmassa vuonna 2010 kohdassa 26:54: http://yle.fi/aihe/artikkeli/2010/09/17/rasvainen-kupla |

Uffe Ravnskov tässä se on koko tutkimus nyt netissä. Lainaa: Our interpretation of the origin of vulnerable plaques explains the molecular, cellular, and tissue processes resulting in atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Promoting factors may not necessarily act by damaging the arterial wall directly, but rather by inhibiting the immune system, by facilitating microbial growth, by causing hyperhomocysteinemia, and by promoting complex formation and aggregation of homocysteinylated lipoproteins. Our interpretation is in accord with several of the classical risk factors. Hyperhomocysteinemia is found in B vitamin deficiency, smoking, hypertension, hypothyroidism, renal failure, and aging, all classical risk factors for cardiovascular disease [116]. Mental stress, a well-known risk factor for cardiovascular disease, stimulates production of cortisol, and an excess of cortisol, either from Cushing’s disease of the adrenal glands or from medical therapy, promotes infections. Furthermore, mental stress, hostility, and anger increase the concentration of homocysteine in blood [117,118], potentially promoting aggregation of LDL particles [18]. Many infectious diseases are more prevalent in smokers and diabetics. The suggestion that excess iron is a risk factor for vascular disease [119] is also in accordance with our interpretation, because bacterial growth is stimulated by the presence of free iron [120]. Therefore, attempts to prevent cardiovascular disease and prolong life may be more successful if we understand the fallacies of the lipid hypothesis [121] and determine what is harmful to the immune system and what may strengthen it. http://www.annclinlabsci.org/content/39/1/3.full Chlamydia, Herpes simplex and Cytomegalo-virus, ... sukupuolitaudit mukana...
