Minusta on ihan hyvä kirja aloittelevalle karppaajalle. Shanahan ylistää vanhaa kunnon keittotaitoa:

Pillar 1.
MEAT ON THE BONE eli älä ylikypsennä, käytä kostutusta, aikaa ja erilaisia osia, käytä rasvaa ja tee luulientä.

Pillar 2.
ORGAN MEAT eli maksaa ym.

Pillar 3.
BETTER THAN FRESH: FERMENTATION AND SPROUTING eli hapattaminen, liottaminen ja idättäminen.

Pillar 4.
FRESH: The benefits of raw eli raakaruoan edut.

Nämä sopivat karnivoreenkin. Hyvää naudan lihaa ja maksaa voi syödä raakanakin.
